Welcome to The Foxes Website
The Foxes Archery Club is based at Farnham Bridge Farm, Rothley, Leicester. It is a target archery club and it has an active junior club associated with it (The Junior Foxes) for archers under 18 years.
During the outdoor season (April to end September) the club normally meets on Saturday and Sunday mornings, but we have all year round access to the field at Farnham Bridge farm so can shoot at other times as well.
Indoor shooting takes place at Winstanley College (just off Hinckley Road) on Saturday mornings (9.30 -11.30 am) between the end of September and the end of March.
We have archers at all levels of expertise including some who regularly represent the County in inter-county matches.
Many of our archers shoot in tournaments while others just shoot for the fun of it. The club runs tournaments, fun shoots, Have-A-Go’s, group or corporate “try archery” sessions, enters postal leagues and runs beginner courses throughout the year.
We welcome novice as well as experienced archers. Our members are very friendly and new archers integrate easily into a good club atmosphere.
If you are interested in our fun shoots, Have-A-Go’s, group, birthday, family event or corporate “try archery” sessions then please see our “try archery” page and get in contact via our contact form, great fun for a day out or what could be better for a team building exercise?
Any person wishing to join the club must prove that they are able to shoot safely & have completed a beginners’ course. Therefore one of the clubs coaches will assess your shooting to ensure that you meet the required standard. If you are already affiliated to Archery GB you must produce your affiliation card to prove this.
Just get in touch via our contact form if you’d like to join and we’ll arrange a time to check your shooting.
